I managed to taste this before purchasing and I have to say, in taste and character, it is easily equal to its non-decaffeinated counterparts. It makes a hearty cup with no bitter aftertaste. My sister in law likes to mix it with flavored coffee for strength (as the Green Mountain flavors tend to be on the light side), I like it on its own. An impressive decaf.

Ive tried many KCups. I bought a Green Mountain Bold Variety pack and it had a few of these gems in it. This is some good, strong coffee. Might be overpowering for some people.
I recommend this to anyone who has been searching for a kcup that taste like REAL coffee. some of these kcups are so weak. i say giver it a shot or at least try the bold variety pack. their espresso blend s also very strong and Kenya-AA (all part of variety pack) but i liked this one over all.

I was glad to find this sampler so I could try the Starbucks k-cups without committing to a large supply. Not suitable for gift giving as it’s a plain box with k-cups jumbled in.

1 – French Roast my favorite, bold, strong flavorful.
2 – Pike Place Roast – surprise for me since it’s medium roast. Flavorful.
3 – Caffe Verona bold and flavorful.
4 – Breakfast blend – weak and bland
5 – Sumatra – bold but tastes like “conference coffee”
6 – House blend – weak and bland

For reference purposes my in store drink is a Starbucks Americano.
